Kick-off meeting, Larnaca Cyprus
The kick-off meeting of the Erasmus+ project ‘Innovative ICT-based training approach to reshape school education and training – sCOOL-IT’ (Project no. 2019-1-BG01-KA201-062543) took place in Larnaca, Cyprus on 11th – 12th November 2019, hosted by PCX COMPUTERS & INFORMATION SYSTEMS. Eleven (11) participants attended the meeting from 6 partner organisations and 5 European countries.
The main focus of the 1st Transnational Project Meeting was to present to the partners the sCOOL-IT project, its objectives, its Intellectual Outputs and the expected outcomes. During the first day, there was a crash course for the WebQuest teaching methodology, coordinated by ECQ.
Moreover, the Project Management and Implementation, the Financial Management, The Quality Management and the Sustainability Plan were also reviewed, providing information on the project coordination by National Vocational Secondary School of Computer Technologies and Systems and the way the consortium will work in order to achieve the project’s objectives. In addition to all the above, all partners had the opportunity to get to know each other, learn about the organisations of the consortium and their teams.
The first meeting established a future successful cooperation and formed the basis of the work that will be carried out in the next 24 months.
The project
sCOOL-IT will develop educational resources and tools for 6 school subjects applicable and relevant to schools across the EU. Its main goal is to create an innovative ICT challenge-based training approach aimed at supporting educators in the process of conveying knowledge, promoting the development of key competences (digital, science, mathematical, etc.) among their students with regards to boosting their performance in these fields and enhancing their digital skills.
