When we began the RedFlag Project, we carried a simple yet urgent conviction: no young person should face a toxic relationship alone and no community should accept gender-based violence as inevitable. Today, as we mark completion, that conviction has only deepened, shaped by the voices we heard, the hands we held, and the futures we glimpsed along the way.
From classrooms in Italy and Poland to community centers in Cyprus and Bulgaria, RedFlag has been more than an initiative; it has been a collective act of hope. We built tools like the Relationship Check and the Red Flag Guide not as abstractions, but as lifelines. They empower young people, equip educators, and support communities in recognizing and responding to warning signs before harm takes root.
The completion of RedFlag is not an end. It is a foundation for future work. What we have built together will continue to shape schools, families, and communities in ways that protect dignity and foster healthier relationships.
Recognize. Respond. Prevent. These are not just steps in a guidebook. They are a call to action, an invitation to create a society where safety and respect are the norm.
