FADO

Using Theatre to Combat Gender-Based Violence in Communities

The FADO project leverages the transformative power of theatre to support victims of gender-based violence. Through a pathway of theatrical workshops and performances, participants are encouraged to share their experiences, breaking isolation and fostering a sense of community. This initiative aims to equip victims with facilitation skills, enabling them to advocate within their communities while also providing resources for educators, social workers, therapists, and artists.

Activities include theatre workshops in France, Italy, Serbia, and Spain, a dedicated web portal with interactive resources, and extensive dissemination efforts. Expected outcomes include a replicable theatre pathway, comprehensive guidelines, and a digital platform to sustain ongoing support and engagement.
